Special Events On Tap Sunday At Manchester Tree Lot

Trees are still available too.

MANCHESTER, CT — The Manchester Fire Support Group has a special event planned for its tree lot on Sunday.

The lot is located at 18 Main St.

From noon to 3 p.m., Santa will be visiting, along with Tom's Travelin' Coffee Truck. The Manchester Police Department will be on hand for a Stuff a Cruiser toy rive to help benefit its Blue Angel Foundation. New unwrapped toys are welcome.

The fire support group will also be helping MACC Charities as well as Second Congregational Church collect non perishables as they go into a very busy holiday season.

The Manchester Tree Lot has been operating for more than 60 years. All proceeds from tree lot go back into our community to help families affected by fire or associated tragedies, burn centers, former 8th District history projects and so more.

Costs remained the same this year, even though costs for the purchase trees went up slightly, fire officials said. It will be $50 for regular-sized trees, and $125 for the giants, some standing nearly 12 feet tall.

The lot, as of Tuesday, still had 30 trees left, along with multiple wreaths and sprays. It is the final week of sales. The lot will be closed Wednesday for possible inclement and possibly severe weather conditions, but will be back open Thursday.
