'This Dance Is Not My Own' Set to Hit Manchester
Touring dance company brings its show to Manchester in April.

Ad Deum (pronounced Add Day Um) Dance Company of Houston, Texas presents This Dance Is Not My Own, a moving miriad of contemporary, modern, and theatrical dance making its New England premeir in the New Haven, Manchester, and Killingworth areas. Their show is a mixture of classic Graham technique, Doug Varrone style, contemporary ballet, blending all the way to mime. This show takes a look at the spiritual side, from angels and demons, to the scandalous questions surrounding the virgin birth, to the struggle, prayer, and healing of walking through life.
Ad Deum is a professional contemporary/modern dance company that has toured the world offering dance performances with the mission of bringing inspiration, hope, and healing through works of art that speak to the heart, soul, and spirit of humanity.

Artistic Director Randall Flinn has worked with the famous Cirque Du Soleil, Houston Ballet, Hong Kong Ballet and various professional companies in Europe and Asia. His formative dance training began with Patsy Swayze, the dancer/choreographer mom of actor/dancer Patrick Swayze, as well as working with 1980’s TV hit dancers known as The Solid Gold Dancers.
Ad Deum will perform in Manchester, CT on April 18th, 7pm at Church of the Living God, 199 Deming St. 06042. Tickets will be $10 at the door

Ad Deum's Tour Manager, Daniel Cossette,  was a professional mime in the Tolland/Manchester area from 2002 to 2009, so the show will also be a sort of homecoming for him.Â
