'Tis The Season For The Manchester Tree Lot

For six decades, the Manchester Fire Support Group has been offering a holiday tree lot.

MANCHESTER, CT — It's time for the Manchester Fire Support Group's biggest fundraising event — the Manchester Tree Lot.

The Manchester Tree Lot will be opening for business at 9 a.m. on Nov. 23. This year, about 600 fresh-cut trees are expected, along with holiday sprays, and other festive decorations.

Santa will also be taking time out of his busy schedule to visit the lot twice this season with his friends from the Tom's Travelin' Coffee Truck.

The Manchester Fire Support Group will be hosting a food drive for MACC Charities as well as Second Congregational Church throughout the season.

The Manchester Tree Lot has been operating for more than 60 years. It is located at 18 Main St.

All proceeds from tree lot go back into our community to help families affected by fire or associated tragedies, burn centers, former 8th District history projects and so more.

Costs will remain the same this year, even though costs for the purchase trees went up slightly, fire officials said. It will be $50 for regular-sized trees, and $125 for the giants, some standing nearly 12 feet tall.

"We will remain one of the cheapest options in the state, and will even help you tie it to your vehicle, and when available on the weekends we will offer delivery as well in the Manchester area," fire officials said.
