WEATHER UPDATE: Manchester's Hour-by-Hour Monday Forecast

What's forecast and when on Monday and overnight in Manchester.

The National Weather Service has issued a “Winter Weather Advisory” in effect until 1 a.m., Tuesday for heavy snow, particularly early Monday afternoon, in northern Connecticut and parts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, but with snow continuing Monday night.

The weather service is predicting 6 to 8 inches of snow accumulating from Saturday to Tuesday.

About 2 to 4 inches of snow is expected for Simsbury all day and another 1 to 3 inches overnight, according to the weather service’s 10:53 a.m. update of its Manchester-specific forecast.

The weather service states that driving will be “hazardous.”

  • 11 a.m. and noon — light snow
  • 1 and 2 p.m. — snow
  • 3 and 4 p.m. — light snow
  • 5 p.m. through 7 p.m. — snow showers
  • 8 p.m., Monday to 7 a.m., Tuesday — cloudy
