MANCHESTER, CT — With inclement weather being forecast for Saturday (July 6), and for "the safety and comfort of residents and all in attendance," the James "Dutch" Fogarty Fourth of July Celebration Committee has decided to postpone Saturday's Independence Day event at Manchester Community College until Sunday (July 7).

"We regret any disappointment this may cause and appreciate everyone's understanding," the committee said in a news release. "Those able to attend on Sunday can still enjoy the full schedule of activities and entertainment that was being offered for Saturday.

Events are slated to begin at 4 p.m. and conclude with the annual fireworks display beginning "precisely" at 9:30 p.m.
