Bus Service Begins at Storr's New Nash-Zimmer Center

The new center has yet to open but local and regional lines are running to the bus stop.

The new Nash-Zimmer Transportation Center on Royce Circle is getting ready to open in a few weeks but the bus service to the hub has begun.

“While the Center is not open to the public yet, the Town [of Mansfield] invites residents and visitors to take advantage of the convenience these new stops provide,” Coordinator of Transportation Ryan Visci said Thursday. “The Center’s location allows easy access to the Storrs Center parking garage as well as newly opened shops and restaurants.”

Buses from UConn and Windham Region Transit District (WRTD) stop in front of the Center daily, with connections to UConn Transportation’s Purple Line and WRTD’s Storrs-Willimantic bus.

UConn Transportation’s Silver Line begins service on March 24 and will make regular stops at the Center.

Peter Pan bus service to Hartford, New York and Providence will also begin in the coming weeks.

More information, including bus schedules can be found on the Nash-Zimmer website.
