Child Porn Case Involves Mansfield Area Man: Police

Connecticut State Police said the charges stem from an investigation into crimes against a five-year-old.

Connecticut State Police detectives have arrested an area man in connection with a child pornography investigation.

Detectives with the Eastern District Major Crime Squad arrested the suspect about 5:12 p.m. on Thursday in connection with an on-going investigation into crimes against a five-year-old victim, according to a police report. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant when they learned that the suspect was in possession of inappropriate pictures of the five-year-old victim.

William H. Lake, 55, of 1036 Phoenixville Rd., in Chaplin, was charged with Employing a Minor in an Obscene Performance, Possession of Child Pornography and Risk of Injury to a Minor.

He was held in lieu of $750,000 bond and scheduled to appear Friday in state Superior Court in Danielson.
