State Police Release Report On Fatal Route 66 Crash In Columbia
A Willimantic resident was killed in a crash on Route 66, state police said.

COLUMBIA, CT — A 34-year-old Willimantic resident was killed in a three-vehicle crash on Route 66 in Columbia late last week.
State police releases a report on the accident over the weekend.
The three vehicles involved were a 2007 Buck Lucerne with a 31-year-old Rocky Hill man driving, a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country with a 34-year-old Willimantic woman driving and a 2018 Ram 1500 pickup truck, the driver of which was was a 54-year-old Columbia man.

According to a crash report, the Buck was heading east on Cards Mill Road and the Chrysler was traveling east on Route 66 in Columbia. The truck was heading west on Route 66, according to a crash report.
As the Buick was turning left onto Route 66, it went into the path of the Chrysler, which then hit the truck, according to a crash report.

The driver of the Chrysler, identified as Carissa Kelsy Decelles, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a crash report.
A passenger, in the Chrysler, a 34-year-old Durham man, suffered a minor injury, according to a crash report. No other injuries were reported.
