Coventry Man Charged In Kid Porn Investigation

A Coventry man was in possession of an abundance of child porn images, police said, citing a warrant.

COVENTRY, CT — A Coventry man had been charged in connection with the discovery of a child porn collection, police said.

On Friday, Coventry police took into custody Alex Radomski, 40, of Coventry, on the strength of an active warrant. The case was initiated after the Connecticut State Police Computer Crime Unit discovered that more than 560 files of suspected "child sexual abuse material" were downloaded via the Internet, according to a news release.

An investigation also determined that the files were accessed by an Internet Protocol, or IP address assigned to a Coventry residence, according to a news release.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicated that 379 of the files contained "child victims previously identified by law enforcement," according to a news release.

Police said a search warrant was obtained for the residence and executed with the assistance of
detectives from the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit. Several electronic devices were seized and later examined by the state Forensic Science Laboratory and Computer Crimes detectives. As a result of the examination, 40 files of ":child sexual abuse material" were discovered and a warrant for Radomski's arrest was secured, according to a news release.

Radomski was charged with promoting a minor in an obscene performance and
possession of child pornography in the second degree. He posted a $200,000 bond
and was given a court date of Oct. 29 in Rockville, records show.
