Mansfield Community Playground Receives $100,000 in State Funding

Project Moves closer to goal thanks to the efforts of Greg Haddad

Thanks to efforts by state representative Gregg Haddad the State Bonding Commission announced last Friday that it has approved $100,000 in state financing to support of a new community playground in Mansfield, CT.

The new community playground is part of an initiative by Mansfield Advocates for Children to create a space that will not only allow children of all ages and abilities to learn and grow but also to serve as a gathering space for local families to connect. The playground will also serve as a large scale service project that will build community connections to last a lifetime

The community playground project has already received substantial donations from the Jeffrey P. Ossen Family Foundation and many other groups and businesses. The contribution in state funding pushes the community playground project even closer to becoming a reality.
