Mansfield Resident Troopers Warn of Phone Scam
Several local residents have reported being contacted by the scammers trying to collect on utility bills.
The Mansfield Resident Troopers have received several complaints from resident reporting a phone scam.
Many residents have reported receiving calls stating that they have balances due to Eversource and are asked to call back and provide money, according to an announcement on Thursday.
Police said, “They have provided a call back number of 1-844-277-9450. This number has been confirmed to not be associated with Eversource. If you should receive a call like this, please DO NOT call back the number and DO NOT provide them with any personal information or money.”
