Meet Bijou, at 18 1/2, the Oldest Dog in Mansfield

Mansfield resident Carol Smith was delighted when I told her that her dog Bijou was the oldest dog in Mansfield.

Bijou was born in December of 1995, which makes her 18.5 years old. Bijou is a black 9-pound poodle/chihuahua/terrier mix.

Carol got Bijou as a puppy from her boss, who had a litter. Bijou has been healthy her whole life. She never had special dog food, although she is on prescription food now.

Bijou is very smart and knows many tricks. She even scored "100" when she was in dog obedience school. She used to live with a cat, but the cat passed away several years ago. 

I met Bijou and she was the sweetest and cutest little dog. She sat nicely for her picture. She is just precious. Bijou, we wish you many more happy years!
