In Memoriam: William C. Glode

William C. Glode, 78, of Storrs, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at his home.

He was born in Hartford, on January 26, 1938, son of the late William H. Glode and Bernice K. Glode.

William was a retiree of Central Connecticut Co-op in Manchester, Connecticut. He was a long time member of the Northeastern Drone Society and was an avid model airplane builder. He was a gun enthusiast, an avid hunter, and a longtime member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janet J. Glode, his son, William S. Glode, his daughter Julie G. Alexander, her husband, Kyle, and his grandson, Blake, all of whom reside in Storrs.

He was predeceased by his brother, Henry F. Glode, of Manchester.

Family will receive relatives and friends 9:30 am Friday, February 12, at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic, followed by an 11 a.m. graveside service at Woodward Cemetery, Ashford Center Road (Route 44) in Ashford.
