MANSFIELD, CT — A teen is facing felony weapons charges after an altercation at a home in Mansfield, state police said.

Elian Jowell Jimenez, 18, of Mansfield, was charged on Jan. 6 with illegal alteration of a firearm and a concealed weapons violation, along with disorderly conduct and first-degree threatening with a firearm, according to an arrest report.

He was taken into custody after police were called to a home on Brookside Lane at 6:51 p.m.

Jimenez was initially held on a $100,000 bond, but that was reduced to $25,000 at his arraignment the following day, records show. He posted the bond and is expected back in court on Feb. 4, records show.
