UConn Students in Paris Are OK: Report

Dozens of students from CT universities — including Wesleyan and Trinity College, who were in Paris when the terror attacks occurred.

Dozens of students from Connecticut universities were in Paris when the terror attacks occurred Friday, according to reports.

There are a dozen UConn students and a faculty member participating in a study abroad program in Paris are safe, a UConn spokesman told NBC Connecticut. The fterror attacks injured 200, including Americans, and killed 127.

Spokesperson Stephanie Reitz told the station, “We are also in the process of determining how many of our students in Connecticut are natives of France, and will be reaching out to offer them support on campus.”

According to WCBS Radio 880, there are 30 students from Trinity College and at least 20 from Wesleyan University, also studying in the City of Light. There aren’t any reports those students were injured.
