Season Of Giving Now A Decade Old In Willimantic

WILLIMANTIC, CT — The Season of Giving Fundraiser for the Covenant Soup Kitchen and Make A Wish Foundation has just wrapped up its 10th year.

It's a community effort by many Windham area businesses, WRTD Buses and Windham Technical School.

This past month, the efforts raised $10,214, plus 660 pounds of non-perishable food items for Covenant Soup Kitchen and a check for $2,000 was presented to Make A Wish.

Some of the organizers and primary donors gathered behind the Soup Kitchen on Tuesday to present the donation to the appreciative soup kitchen director, Kimberly Clark.
