UConn's Strong Named To International Tourney Roster

STORRS, CT — UConn women’s basketball sophomore forward Sarah Strong will represent the United States on the 2025 FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series.

The event is slated for May 23 and 24 in Marseille, France.

The USA’s season begins Friday at the Marseille Women’s Series event in Marseille, France. As part of Pool C, USA will face Czech Republic and France on Friday at 10:15 a.m. and 2:05 p.m. ET, respectively. USA Basketball is also slated to compete at the Ulaanbaatar Women’s Series competition June 18-19 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, with additional events expected to be added at a later date.

Strong, who last month won the 2025 NCAA Championship with UConn, is a three-time FIBA 3x3 U18 Women’s World Cup champion in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Last summer, she also won gold at the FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup in Bucaramanga, Colombia.

The 3x3 game is played on a half court with a 10-minute clock and a 12-second shot clock. The first team to 21 points, or the team in the lead at the end of regulation, is the winner.

Strong is joined on the team by Cierra Burdick, Mikaylah Williams and Sahara Williams.
