MERIDEN, CT — A New Haven man was killed in rollover crash on I-691 in Meriden Saturday morning after the car he was driving went off the roadway and down an embankment, Connecticut State Police said. The man was identified as Anthony O Irias, 36, of New Haven. Police say the Jeep Irias was driving came to an "uncontrolled rest" on its roof after going down the embankment. Irias was traveling on the I-691 eastbound Exit 8 off-ramp when the crash happened. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Kores at 203-393-4200. Image via Shutterstock

The car the man was driving went down an embankment around 8:30 a.m., police say.
