2 Arrested In Connection With Robbery Spree In Meriden: Police
Two men have been arrested in connection with nine armed robberies that have taken place in Meriden since September, according to police.
MERIDEN, CT — Two men have been arrested in connection with a robbery spree investigation in Meriden, according to police.
Between the months of September to November, Meriden police said they have investigated a series of nine armed robberies that were believed to have been committed by two people.
Five robberies involved a suspect armed with what appeared to be a gun, according to police.

Following a multi-agency investigation and surveillance operation, police said Corey Alexis was apprehended while he prepared to commit another armed robbery at a local convenience store.
Alexis, 41, was found in possession of a BB gun, according to police. He was charged with criminal attempt to commit first-degree robbery and carrying a dangerous weapon.

Police said Alexis was held in lieu of a $1 million bond with additional charges expected in connection with the robberies that are still being investigated.
Four additional robberies were committed by a suspect who used a knife while targeting two local gas stations, according to police.
Police said officers responded Thursday, Nov. 6 to the 100 block of Colony Street on the report of another armed robbery.
The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Guardy Roman, was located shortly after fleeing the area, according to police.
Roman was arrested on charges of first-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny. He was held in lieu of a $1 million bond with additional charges expected in connection with the robberies that are still being investigated, according to police.
“The Meriden Police Department would like to thank members of the Middletown Police Department, Connecticut State Police, Watertown Police Department, West Hartford Police Department, and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force for their assistance during these investigations,” police wrote in a news release. “The Meriden Police Department wants our community to know if a dangerous individual comes into our community and commits violent crimes against our residents and business owners, we will use every resource available to identify, arrest, and hold that person fully accountable. We will continue to work with our local, state, and federal partners to ensure offenders are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We will not tolerate those who threaten the safety of our community.”
