Friendly Neighborhood Bison Join Golfers in Meriden

Fox, deer and other animals often wander the course at Hunter Golf Club in Meriden, but visitors on Sunday got a special surprise.

The photo above, taken by John Adamowicz, shows some large Bison who came to say hello after escaping from nearby Carabetta Farm. The Bison were rounded up and taken home a short while later, officials said Monday.

“They’re harmless; they’re not going to hurt anybody,” farm owner Joe Carabetta told the Record-Journal. “But they are pretty big animals.”
