MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden man has been arrested in connection with a child sexual assault investigation, according to police. The Meriden Police Department's Special Crimes Unit began an investigation on June 4, 2024 into a possible sexual assault of a child, according to police. Police said that Timothy Reardon was arrested March 25 following a thorough investigation. Reardon, 30, was charged with risk of injury to a child. He was released on a promise to appear in court on April 10, according to state judicial records. "We at the Meriden Police Department are wholeheartedly committed to protecting children," police wrote in a news release. "We understand the impact of these crimes and we work with partner agencies to help provide services to the victims and their families affected. It is the policy of the Meriden Police Department to fully investigate every allegation of crimes against children that is brought to our organization."
