Road Closures, Traffic Details Announced For Meriden Daffodil Festival
Police are advising residents of several road closures and restrictions that will be in effect during the 2025 Daffodil Festival in Meriden.

MERIDEN, CT — Police are advising residents of several road closures and restrictions that will be in effect during the 2025 Daffodil Festival this weekend in Meriden.
The festival will be held from Saturday, May 3 to Sunday, May 4 at Hubbard Park in Meriden.
The Meriden Police Department is advising motorists and residents of the following parking restrictions. (Read more from the police department below):

These restrictions will facilitate the safe and efficient flow of traffic in select locations along the main access roads leading into Hubbard Park. These main access roads will be posted “No Parking” and will include portions of West Main Street and Reservoir Avenue.
In addition to this, some of the side streets off the main access roads will be posted “No Parking.” These roads include: the west side of Smithfield Avenue, the east side of Spruce Street, Barberry Lane, Eaton Avenue, Parkview Avenue and Graveline Avenue.

Additionally, Smithfield Avenue will be posted one-way for southbound vehicles; all vehicular traffic will be directed south toward Johnson Avenue. Spruce Street will be posted one-way for northbound vehicles; all vehicular traffic will be directed north toward West Main Street. Parkview Avenue and Fairview Avenue will be posted one-way for southbound vehicles.
The west side of Peacock Drive will also be posted “No Parking.” Vehicles found in violation of the parking restrictions will be ticketed and towed. All parking restrictions will cease on Sunday, May 4 at 6 p.m.
There will be no parking inside Hubbard Park for the general public during the “2025 Annual Daffodil Festival.” The public will be allowed to park at the following locations: (1) Lincoln Middle School, (2) Meriden Mall parking garage. All Shuttle Buses will pick-up and drop-off citizens at the above locations. Daffodil Volunteers will staff the school parking lots.
Shuttle Bus Service to and from Hubbard Park will begin on Saturday, May 3, and extend through to Sunday, May 4. The hours of operation are as follows: (1) Saturday, May 3 (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.) and (2) Sunday, May 4, (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
Handicapped parking will be located at Westfield Shopping Town. A Shuttle Bus Service will be provided to and from Hubbard Park. Nursing Homes with multi-passenger buses will be allowed in the park via Reservoir Ave. A chairlift van will be available to accommodate the wheelchair bound.
We would also like to advise the public that the only animals allowed in the park during the “2025 Annual Daffodil Festival” are Service Animals. No Bicycles, skateboards, roller blades or silly string are allowed in the park. Also, per City Ordinance 151-2, smoking in any city park is prohibited.
