Howard A. Lohmann Sr., 89, died on Oct. 29, 2025, after a life marked by Army service, decades of work in the steel industry culminating in the founding and growth of Logan Steel Inc., and years spent golfing, running a farm, raising animals, baling hay, making wine, and enjoying time at a campsite with friends and family.

Kenneth Lee Covington, 59, died on Nov. 2, 2025. He was a Custom Commodities employee who enjoyed coaching youth football, following the Dallas Cowboys, cooking, fishing—often on his own boat—enjoying cigars, dancing, and active participation as a proud Mason.

David DeTota, 60, died on Nov. 2, 2025, and was an automotive mechanic who worked for years at the Guilford Texaco, ran his own shop “Scrappy Dave’s,” applied his handyman skills widely, cared for his rescue animals, raced his self-built truck in Syracuse with trophy-winning success, and spent winter months in FL enjoying music and spontaneous adventures.

Henry Simon Krochmal, 81, died on Nov. 5, 2025. He was a former high-school chemistry teacher and early Assembly/COBOL programmer whose life included passionate interests in theoretical physics, reading and writing, bluegrass music, harmony singing, and storytelling, along with years spent playing baseball as “Hammering Hank” and sharing activities such as tennis, skiing, and learning with his children.

Antonietta Izzo, 82, died on Nov. 6, 2025. She was a longtime employee of The Napier Company and AGC Inc. whose interests included Italian music, caring for her fig tree and grapevine, and practicing the old-world tradition of drying homemade sausage, with her greatest enjoyment coming from time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ryan Robert “Red” Lawson, 51, died on Nov. 7, 2025. He worked in his family’s pizza business before building a career across several auto dealerships, while enjoying karaoke, old cars, ’80s and ’90s music, spontaneous drives, astrology, Jets football, time with his kids and friends, and proudly sharing quirks like his strong singing voice, ability to palm a basketball, and crooked pinkies.
