Meriden Man Dies After He Was Pulled From Bantam Lake: Reports

MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden man died after he was pulled Saturday from Bantam Lake, according to reports.

Kyree Dowd, 27, was pronounced 6:30 p.m. Sunday, News 12 reported.

Emergency personnel responded around 12:30 p.m. Saturday to the 100 block of North Shore Road at the Point Folly Campground for a reported drowning, according to the Bantam Fire Co.

The first diver entered the water at 12:48 p.m. and a victim was found 15 minutes later and brought to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, the agency said, adding a second person was also taken to be evaluated.
