Meriden Police Blotter: A Target on Illegal Drivers and Numerous Infractions

Meriden police reported multiple motor vehicle misdemeanors as part of a special enforcement over the weekend, catching several area residents traveling without proper plates, licenses, registration or insurance. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Meriden Police Department reported the following arrests:

July 6

Samuel Smits, 22, of 480 S. Colony Road in Meriden, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, July 6.

Isaiah Bookert, 21, of 480 S. Colony Road in Meriden, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, July 6.

Antonio Morales, 22, of 25 South Court in Meriden, was charged with misuse of marker plates, failure to properly insure motor vehicle and operating an unregistered motor vehicle, July 6.

July 7


Johran McCaw, 24, of 20 Converse Circle in Meriden, was charged with evading responsibility in an accident, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, following too close and failure to insure motor vehicle, July 7.

Lorenzo Randolph Ward Sr., of 134 Foster St. in Meriden, was charged with misuse of plates, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to wear a seatbelt, July 7.

Jacob Maldonado, 114 E. Main St. in Meriden, was charged with misuse of marker plates, failure to keep minimum insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle, July 7.

Kurt Parisi, of 308 Reservoir Ave. in Meriden, was charged with criminal trespassing and second-degree breach of peace, July 7.

Cassandra Coleman, of 77 Summer St. in Meriden, was charged with breach of peace, criminal trespassing and littering, July 7.

July 8


Duong The La, 21, of 25 Wilcox Ave. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor, criminal mischief and interfering with an emergency call, July 8.

  • Five people were cited with failure to obey stop sign/traffic signal.
  • Three people were cited with simple trespassing.
  • Two people were cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.

  • Two people were cited with passing in a no passing.
  • Two people were cited with reckless use of highway by a pedestrian.
  • Two people were cited with failure to vaccinate a dog.
  • One person was cited with failure to properly insure motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with failure to use turn signal.
  • One person was cited with improper parking.
  • One person was cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with creating a public disturbance.
  • One person was cited with using a cell phone while driving.
  • One person was cited with failure to grant right of way.
  • One person was cited with unsafe lane change.
  • One person was cited with failure to license a dog.
  • One person was cited with following too close.
