Meriden Resident Killed In Middlefield Head-On Crash
The ID of the person killed in the crash has been released by state police.

MIDDLEFIELD, CT — State Police said Sunday that Venancio Papalotzi-george, 46, of Meriden, was killed in a fatal crash late Friday.
State police said Papalotzi-george was driving a 2012 Honda Civic and traveling westbound on Meriden Road, Route 66, and a Middletown resident was driving a 2009 Jeep eastbound on Route 66.
Both vehicles collided head-on, and Papalotzi-george was pronounced dead at the scene.
