Obituary: Anthony Paul Marino, 56, Of Meriden

Anthony found joy in simple pleasures like riding his motorcycle, watching A Bronx Tale and cheering on the Mets at Citi Field.

MERIDEN, CT — Anthony Paul Marino, 56, of Meriden, formerly of West Haven, passed away on June 27, 2025.

Loving father of Brianna and Stephanie Marino, who were the greatest joys of his life. Anthony is survived by his brother, Paul (Angela) Marino, along with their children; his Aunt Debbie and her husband, Joe Alves; and other beloved family members. Grandson of the late Anthony and Sylvia Verrilli and nephew of the late John Verrilli.

Anthony was born in Bridgeport on March 24, 1969, son of the late Paul and Cheryl Miller Marino. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in West Haven and spent many years working in the family business.

Anthony found joy in simple pleasures like riding his motorcycle, watching A Bronx Tale and cheering on the Mets at Citi Field. His happiest memories were made on family trips to Walt Disney World.

His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven THURSDAY, July 17, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John XXIII Parish in St. John Vianney Church, 300 Captain Thomas Blvd., West Haven at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
