Obituary: Florence Skotnicki, 96, Of Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — (From Meriden Memorial Funeral Home): Florence (Kemish) Skotnicki, 96, of Meriden, loving wife of the late Henry Skotnicki, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, Sunday, April 7, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Florence was born in Meriden, November 29, 1927, a daughter of the late Anton Kemish and Emilia (Kompal) Kemish and had been a lifelong Meriden resident and parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, a dedicated and caring mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children Virginia (Stan) Killinger, John Skotnicki, Ellen (Bill) Simon, Ronald Skotnicki, Susan (Mike) McKone and Robert (Lauren) Skotnicki; her grandchildren Nicholas (Mary) McKone, Robert McKone, Anna Skotnicki; many nieces; and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Tony, Joseph, Anne and Eleanor.
