Obituary: Richard Alan DeMonte, 73, formerly of Meriden
Rich was a proud business owner and retired car salesman. He loved sports, playing cards, his family and his dog, Dee Dee.
MERIDEN, CT - (From B.C. Bailey Funeral Home) Richard Alan DeMonte of New Britain passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on June 25, 2022 at age 73.
Rich was born in Hartford, CT to the late Thomas and Marjorie (Nazlian) DeMonte Sr. on October 1, 1948. Rich moved to Meriden in 1950 where he spent most of his life.
He graduated from Platt High School in 1966. Rich had a store, a restaurant, and with his great gift of gab, he retired as a car salesman.
Rich loved to play cards, softball, pool and golf. He enjoyed casino's, Las Vegas, and the many family get-togethers. The Steelers was Rich's favorite football team and he loved to watch the Yankees on TV.
Rich was preceded in death by his father, Thomas DeMonte Sr. and his mother, Marjorie (Nazlian) DeMonte.
Rich is survived by his loving wife, Pamela, her family, his brother, Thomas DeMonte Jr., Mark DeMonte and his wife Helen, and Rich's daughter Danielle. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his dog Dee Dee.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, June 29 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad Street in Plainville and on Thursday, June 29 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with a funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM at Bailey Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at West Cemetery in Plainville.
