In her free time, Rosie could be found planting flowers and tending to her houseplants, her Christmas Cactus being her favorite.

She loved a good bargain and was a “Coupon Queen.” Seasonal decorations were a favorite item to shop for and she loved everything ducks and bunnies.

Rosie enjoyed watching nature programs, P.B.S., Gunsmoke, and cheering on her beloved N.Y. Yankees, N.Y. Giants, and the UConn Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams. She also loved to travel, especially to South Carolina and an occasional trip to Mohegan Sun.

Richard remembers, “When I'd come back from my daily walks, the beginning of my route took me past a pond. Rosie would ask what ducks, geese, bunnies, and hawks I saw.” (Rosie loved hawks and was alert spotting them wherever we went) She wanted a complete report. She always said, "Have a good walk, be safe and tell me what you see.”

In addition to her husband Richard, Rosie will be missed by her sisters, Florence Remmell of Barre, VT, and Claudia Cardona of Meriden, CT; her stepchildren, Kristen Henriques Wager and her husband Joseph Wager of North Branford, CT, and Richard Henriques and his wife Michelle Dellapia Henriques of Tega Cay, SC; her precious grandchildren, Madison, Riley and Jackson Henriques, all of Tega Cay, SC; her nephew, Hiram Cardona; and her niece, Kelly Dasilva.
