Police: Mom, Daughter Charged After Inciting Britannia Street Brawl
The two stalked, harassed and eventually assaulted a Britannia Street resident following an argument between the daughter and woman earlier in the day, according to a police report.

For a mother and daughter pair, the lesson learned following an argument with a Britannia Street woman last week may be to let things go.
The two Meriden residents are facing charges after police said they proceeded to stalk, harass and eventually incite a fight against the woman, who police said had a verbal confrontation with the daughter earlier in the day.
Felicia and Tranice Rumley, both of 27 Randolph Ave., were taken into custody late last week following the incident, then released after posting a $5,000 bond.
Felicia Rumley, 46, is facing charges of breach of peace, second-degree stalking and unlawful assembly, while her daughter, 19-year-old Tranice, faces charges of breach of peace, second-degree stalking, third-degree assault, second-degree threatening, harassment and unlawful assembly.
Lt. Sal Nesci said officers were called to Britannia Street Thursday after a confrontation between the two and a resident of the area escalated, bringing a crowd outside as the daughter began to incite a fight with the victim.
“The two were actively pursuing another female that lived on Britannia Street are over a dispute, went there with friends and engaged her in a fight, causing onlookers from the neighborhood to come out,” Nesci said. “The situation got out of hand and with the crowds riled up, that led to the unlawful assembly charges.”
Police did not say what led to the dispute.
The two women are each due in Meriden Superior Court on July 26 for arraignment, according to court records.
