Police Warn Of Illegitimate Contractors In Meriden: PD

Police are warning residents of an unregistered home improvement company possibly trying to defraud homeowners in the city.

MERIDEN, CT — Police are warning residents of an unregistered home improvement company possibly trying to defraud homeowners in the city.

The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection notified police of a group of people possibly trying defraud Meriden residents by “misrepresenting themselves as a legitimate home improvement company,” according to police.

Police shared photos (see below) of the New Jersey license plate from the white Dodge truck operated by the individuals, a sign advertising their business as well as a picture of the NJ plate on their white trailer.

The company “Advanced Home Improvement” is not registered with the State of Connecticut, according to police.
