Barbara B. Kaczor, 98, wife of the late Edward Kaczor, passed away on Jan. 27, 2025. She worked part-time as an Avon Lady and later at Meriden Gravure Co. until retirement, while enjoying hobbies like traveling to the Tanque Verde Dude Ranch, horseback riding, visiting Las Vegas, and raising cairn terriers, including her final companion, Suzy.

Dr. Richard Henry Groth, 95, died on Jan. 22, 2025, after a long and accomplished career as a professor of chemistry at Central Connecticut State University, consultant to Pratt & Whitney and the Connecticut State Police forensic science laboratory, while also pursuing hobbies like numismatics, genealogy, and enjoying time with his family and canine companion.

Peter J. Golas, 86, passed away on Jan. 20, 2025. A U.S. Army veteran and retired machinist from Barnes Group, he was a parishioner at Holy Angels Church and enjoyed a lifelong career in manufacturing.

Gordon H. Lovely, 86, passed away on Jan. 19, 2025, after retiring as a produce manager for Barker’s Grocery Store and Stop & Shop, and enjoying time outdoors while caring for his late wife Barbara during her battle with MS.

Rose Marie (Vumbaco) Thielman, 91, wife of the late James Thielman, passed away on Jan. 16, 2025, after dedicating over 40 years of service at Westfield Nursing Home as a CNA, physical therapist assistant, and patient escort, and enjoying time with her daughters and dear friends.

Patrick T. O’Regan, M.D., 97, passed away on Jan. 15, 2025. A retired OB-GYN, U.S. Navy veteran, and Gaelic football enthusiast, he enjoyed sailing on Cape Cod and charting trips to Martha’s Vineyard, and was devoted to his family and patients throughout his distinguished career.

Norma L. Osborne, 93, passed away on Jan. 14, 2025, having worked as a secretary in the insurance industry for 40 years, retiring from Cigna Corp. in 1994, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Meriden Senior Citizens.
