Traffic Stop Leads Police to Cocaine, PCP Bust
Officers arrested a Crown Street resident after officers discovered the prepackaged drugs ready for sale when the accused was acting suspicious and "fidgeting" after trying to hide the evidence in his pants.

A Crown Street man is facing various drug charges after police said he was found in possession of prepackaged amounts of cocaine and PCP during a routine traffic stop early Saturday morning.
Officers took Thomas Texidor, of 581 Crown St. in Meriden, into custody just after 2 a.m. when a search found the items hidden within his pants, police said.
Texidor was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with the intent to sell, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a restricted zone, sale of a hallucinogen, possession of a hallucinogen, possession of a hallucinogen within 1,500 of a restricted zone, traveling too fast and third-degree criminal mischief.
Texidor, 38, was traveling near his home when an officer pulled him over for speeding, according to Lt. Sal Nesci. He stopped for the officer and was being compliant, but was attempting to conceal something within his pants and continued “to fidget” as the officer began to ask questions.
Police were able to obtain probable cause for a search and discovered multiple, prepackaged bags containing cocaine and PCP.
Texidor was arraigned on Monday in Meriden Superior Court and is due back later this month. He has not entered a plea in the case, court officials said.
