Victim Identified In Fatal Pedestrian Crash In Meriden: Police
A pedestrian was killed after being struck by two vehicles while trying to cross the divided highway on the Berlin Turnpike, police said.
MERIDEN, CT — Luis Mulero, 53, has been identified as the man who was killed after being struck by two vehicles while trying to cross the divided highway on the Berlin Turnpike in Meriden last week, police said in an update on Monday morning.
Mulero’s last known permanent address was in Hartford, according to police.
Meriden police responded to the crash in the 1900 block of North Broad Street around 7:15 p.m. on March 27.

An investigation found that a man was walking along the edge of the road and then tried to cross the divided highway. The man was then struck by a yellow Chevy Silverado and then by a second vehicle (Hyundai Tucson) traveling directly behind the Chevy Silverado, police said at the time.
Mulero was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
