Boathouse Ballot Fails In Middletown
The ballot question was to approve or deny the appropriation of $13.5 million and bond authorization for renovation of a new boathouse.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The one and only ballot question during the 2023 local elections held on Tuesday, Nov. 7, failed, according to the Middletown City and Town Clerk.
According to the city and town clerk, there were 3,263 Yes votes and 4,076 No votes.
The ballot question was to approve or deny the appropriation of $13.5 million and bond authorization for the planning, design, construction, renovation, furnishing, and equipment of a new boathouse and renovations to the existing John Smith Boathouse.
