Car Gets Worst Of Collision With Box Truck In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A car and box truck collided on a stretch of Interstate 91 in Middletown Wednesday morning.

The crash took place just after 5 a.m. on the southbound side of the highway between exits 20 and 19, Westfield Fire Department officials said.

Images from the scene of the crash indicated the car had a crushed front end.

One person was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, fire officials said.

One lane was briefly closed for cleanup.
