Car Narrowly Misses Large Sign In Middletown Highway Crash

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A car came to a crashing halt just before a traffic sign on Interstate 91 in Middletown early Monday morning, Westfield Fire Department officials said.

The crash took place shortly after 1 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway and involved a white, four-door sedan.

The car skidded off the highway and sustained back end damage. It had full airbag deployment from a picture taken at the scene by fire officials.

It came to a rest sideways just feet before the 1-mile warn ing sign for Exit 20.

Minor injuries were reported.
