To accommodate leaf collection, brush and bulky waste pickups will be suspended effective October 10, 2025. Payments for bulk waste must be made by that date.

Sanitation District residents that wish to have their leaves picked up earlier may do so by placing leaves in brown paper leaf bags (NO plastic bags) along the back side of the curb starting October 20tht. Bags must be free of branches, grass and yard waste.

All residents that wish to dispose of leaves earlier than November 17 may bring them directly to the Middletown Recycling Center during their normal operating hours.

Leaf collection does not begin until Nov. 17. In an effort to keep our city safe and clean, please refrain from raking leaves to the curb until the weekend of Nov. 15. Prior to that, leaves can be placed in paper bags or brought directly to the recycling center.

All leaves must be at the curb by November 17 for pick up.

Residents are encouraged to use natural leaf disposal methods as well. Mulching or composting leaves on your property is the most environmentally-friendly option of leaf disposal. Please consider these options if you have the space. More information can be found at https://www.middletownct.gov/903/Composting.
