Crash At Middletown-Middlefield Line Leaves Motorcyclist Badly Hurt
A motorcyclist was seriously hurt in a Tuesday night crash near the Middlefield-Middletown line,. fire officials said.

MIDDLEFIELD, CT — A city-line crash left a motorcyclist seriously hurt Tuesday night, Middlefield fire officials said.
At 7:06 PM the Middlefield Volunteer Fire Company, Hunters Ambulance, and a Middlesex Hospital Paramedic were dispatched to a serious accident on Main Street in Rockfall, just prior to the Middletown city line.
First arriving units found a motorcycle on the ground with its driver unconscious, fire officials said.

Rescue and EMS crews treated the driver for serious injuries at the scene and LifeStar helicopter transported the driver to Hartford Hospital for further treatment, fire officials said.
As of late Tuesday night, the identity of the driver was not being released.

Main Street was closed between Ross Road and Forest Street in Middletown while investigators worked at the scene.
The Connecticut State Police C.A.R.S. unit is investigating the incident. Anyone with information on the incident can contact the Connecticut State Police Troop F barracks at 860-399-2100.
