Crashes Mar Weekend Traffic In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Westfield Fire Department crews responded to three crashes in a 24-hour period over the weekend.

The two with the most impact took place on Saturday.

Just after 2 p.m., the Westfield Fire Department was at the scene of a three-car crash on Interstate-91 north between exits 19 and 20, fire officials said.

Minor injuries were reported and the right lane was temporarily closed.

Just after 3 a.m., the northbound side of I-91 was closed after a crash left a pair of mangled vehicles on the highway, fire officials said.

Those involved suffered undisclosed injuries.
