Middletown 2023 Election Voter Guide: Candidates, Polling Places
Here's everything you need to know concerning the Middletown local elections, including the candidates, polling places, and voting hours.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — On Nov. 7, Middletown residents cast their votes for several key municipal positions. Contested races include the town council and school board.
Polls in Connecticut are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can use the Secretary of State’s website to find your polling place. Voters who are in line by 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
Connecticut also allows for Election Day registration at designated centers in each town. People must be registered by 8 p.m. to vote using Election Day registration. To receive your absentee ballot, complete and sign an application and return it to your Town Clerk, or you can request an absentee ballot online.

Mayor
The Democratic candidate is Benjamin G. Florsheim, and the Republican candidate is Mike Marino. Florsheim is also listed under the Working Families Party.
Common Council
You'll vote for any eight people. Democratic candidates are Vincent J. Loffredo, Darnell Ford, Grady L. Faulkner Jr., Jeanette Blackwell, Kelly Sweeney, Anthony Mangiafico, Gene P. Nocera, and Steven Kovach. Republican candidates include Bill Wilson, Jon Pulino, Leslie A. Spatola, Tony Gennaro, Linda Salafia, Callie Grippo, Deborah Kleckowski, and Nigel Macon-Wilson. Nocera is also listed under the Working Families Party.
Board of Education
You'll vote for any five people. Democratic candidates are Susan Owens, Sheila C. Daniels, Rakim Grant, Elizabeth Crooks, and Harold Panciera. Republican candidates include Bill Wilson, Adam R. Hayn, Nigel Macon-Wilson, Deborah Kleckowski, and Morgan Monarca.
Board of Assessment Appeals
You'll vote for any two people. Democratic candidates are Anita C. Schofield and Rebecca Mcclanahan and Republican candidates include Robin Goss and Shawn Paradis.
Planning and Zoning Commission
You'll vote for any four people. Democratic candidates are Nathaniel Spencer, Thomas Pattavina, Christina Pen, and Elizabeth Emery. Republican candidates include Bill Perkins, Morgan Monarca, Tyler Eckstrom, and Marcus Fazzino.

Democratic candidates are Alan Cunningham and John Carlson, and Republican candidates include Bill Perkins and Marcus Fazzino.
