Middletown Community Thanksgiving Project Collects 1,000-Plus Meals

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Volunteers with the Middletown Community Thanksgiving Project are distributing more than 1,000 meals to families across the city.

Local businesses and individuals collected and then donated turkeys, potatoes, canned vegetables, rolls, and desserts over the past month to give out for Thanksgiving. More than 900 turkeys were collected in the past week alone.

Distribution began Monday and was to last through Tuesday.

Hundreds of Middletown residents and those who regularly shop at the Amazing Grace Food Pantry registered to receive a meal and were to pick up their boxes at Fellowship Church in Middletown on Tuesday.
