Middletown Residents Urged To Be Patient With MLK Day Trash Pickups

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The MLK holiday is throwing a wrench in the Middletown trash collection schedule.

The Middletown Recycling Center will be closed on Jan. 20, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr Day.

The Middletown Sanitation District will be operating with reduced staff on Jan. 20. Residents should put their carts out on their regular collection day, and if it is not collected on Monday, the carts should be left out for Tuesday, municipal officials said.
