Obituary: Luz Iraida Acevedo, 65, of Middletown
Luz was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.
MIDDLETOWN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Luz Iraida Acevedo, 65, of Middletown, beloved wife of Victor Hernandez, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Middlesex Hospital.
Born August 27, 1956 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Pedro Acevedo and Filomena Medina.
In addition to her beloved husband of 45 years, Luz is survived by her son, Manuel Hernandez of Massachusetts; her son, Joel Hernandez and his wife, Renee Hernandez along with their children, Giselle Luz Hernandez, Lilah Grace Hernandez and Noah Kopylec, all of New Hampshire; her sister, Naomi Acevedo of Manchester; her brothers, Pedro Acevedo of West Hartford, Ricardo Acevedo of Florida and Jose Miguel Acevedo of Puerto Rico; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and beloved friends.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Luz’s family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext on Saturday, May 28th from 1:00 – 5:00pm.
A funeral service and celebration of her life will begin at 5:00pm in the funeral home.
