MIDDLETOWN, CT — (From Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home): Matthew Clark Morin, 65, of Middletown, loving husband of Rosemary (Nehring) Morin, passed away on June 29, 2023. He was born in New Britain, CT on June 27, 1958, a son of the late Milford Joseph Morin and Nancy Ann (Clark) Morin.

Besides his wife Rosemary, Matt is survived by his brother Mark Morin and his wife Melbie, sister Faith Ann Bannon and her husband Patrick, nephews Matthew, Joseph, and Sean Bannon, and Brad and Tyson Nehring, stepsister Johanne (Noury) LaFlamme and her husband Joseph, stepmother Gisele Morin, and brother-in-law Uwe Nehring and his wife Patricia.

After graduating from Middlesex Community College, Matt worked as an engineering tech and general foreman at Fafnir Bearing. He served on the Parish Council for St. Paul Church of Kensington, CT. He was active as an Eagle Scout with Boy Scouts of America, a Silver Beaver recipient, Camp Master at NAHACO, and Scout Master for Troop #68 in East Berlin. He also enjoyed coaching youth hockey, golfing, and was a member of the French Clubs in New Britain and Meriden.
