Obituary: Robert "Bob" T. Eastwood Sr., 84, of Middletown
Bob, a dedicated family man and active member of the community, served as a career firefighter for the City of Middletown.
MIDDLETOWN, CT - (From Biega Funeral Home) Robert (Bob) T. Eastwood Sr., 84, of Middletown, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at his home.
Born in Middletown on June 3, 1937, son of the late William and Stella (Grabinski) Eastwood, he was raised in Middletown and attended Middletown public schools.
In his younger years, Bob was employed as a draftsman at Pratt & Whitney and as a television repairman at various Middletown businesses.
He served his career as a firefighter for the City of Middletown, before his retirement. After retiring, Bob was able to devote his time to his passions for railroads, vintage electronics, stamps, and learning the history of Middletown.
Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife, Christina (Manning) Eastwood.
He is survived by his daughter, Katherine (Eastwood) Brousaides of Middletown, her husband Gregory and their son Alexander, his son, Robert T. Eastwood Jr. of Middletown, and Christina’s sons, Steven Barber of Middletown and his children Kimberly and Daniel, and Mark Barber and his wife JoAnn of East Hampton and their children Brian, Ashley, and Matthew, and several great-grandchildren.
Bob was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Middletown.
Funeral services are private at the request of the family.
