Pedestrian Dies After Colliding With Car In Middletown: Police
Police are investigating a fatal collision between a pedestrian and car in Middletown.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A pedestrian was killed in a collision with a car in Middletown Tuesday night, police said.
The crash took place at 9:48 p.m. on Washington Street in the area of High Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located a man in the roadway with serious injuries and a gray Toyota Camry with front end damage, according to an incident report.

Middletown Fire and Hunters Ambulance personnel responded to the scene and the pedestrian was transported to Middlesex Hospital but succumbed to his injuries, according to an incident report.
The driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries and was also transported to Middlesex Hospital, police said.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the Toyota was traveling westbound on Washington Street in the right travel lane. The pedestrian appeared to be walking southbound and crossed Washington Street at the High Street crosswalk, according to an incident report. He and the Toyota collided in the intersection, according to an incident report.
This collision is being investigated by the Middletown Police Department’s Traffic Division. Anyone with information on the collision can contact police at 860-638-4061.
