Ronald S. Bish entered into his enteral life peacefully on January 9, 2025, surrounded by his family after battling a lengthy illness. His father Stanley Bish and his mother Jean (Waz) Bish predeceased him. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Dorothy Bish, who never left his side and cared for him throughout their 51 years of marriage. His son, Brian Bish, wife Kamilia, and his three children; Daughter Kimberly Bish; His best buddy and grandson Connor Bish, who gave him the strength and purpose to keep fighting after he fell ill; Brother, David Bish who is carrying on the family electrical business and his wife Robbin of Old Saybrook. Loving sister, Gail Duda, and her husband Bill of Middletown; Sister Judith Raymond of Middletown. In addition, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends, such as Robert Zawilinski, James Tomko, Larry Vallieres, Cheryl Dukas, Connie Tilotta, Paul Borelli, Sal Gallitto, Harlan Skakun, Vincent Stefano, and Stephen Consiglio.
Ronald followed in his father’s footsteps by studying electrical engineering. He graduated from Vinal Technical and Hartford State Technical College. He earned his E1 and E2 licenses. Upon his father’s death, he took over the family business, which he ran until he retired. Ronald held many positions for the Independent Electrical Contractor’s Association (IEC) of New England, including the Association President from 2007 to 2008. He also assisted with the IEC apprenticeship program to help those who wanted to learn the trade he loved. Ronald also served on the State of Connecticut Licensing Board. He was a spiritual man involved in many activities in his parish such as serving as a member of the Men’s Club at St. Pius X Church and was a member of the Knight of Columbus.

Ronald and his family sincerely thank Dr. John Williams and the Middlesex Family Medicine Residency Program, Vanessa, Angeli, Meredith, and the other caring members of the Middlesex Health Hospice team for caring for him and keeping his spirits up. In addition, he thanks his former employees who helped Bish Electric to be successful for over 50 years and his morning coffee club: Jan Baur, Peggy Koos, and Benard Quinn.
Visiting hours will be held at Biega Funeral Home located at 3 Silver Street, Middletown, CT 06457 on Thursday January 16, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 310 Westfield Street, Middletown, CT 06457 on Friday January 17, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Burial Service will be at Calvary Cemetery, 307 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT, immediately following the mass.
