MIDDLETOWN, CT — Visits and pictures with Santa are treasured traditions for many Middletown families. For them, there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person.
Santa arrived on Nov. 5 at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Santa’s Wonderland and will hold court through Christmas Eve. Reservations are encouraged.

Santa Brunch at 1741 Pub and Grill
Treat the entire family to a Santa Brunch at 1741 Pub and Grill at Lyman Orchards Golf Course.

Several dates are available for the Santa Brunch: Dec. 2, Dec. 3 (sold out) Dec. 9, Dec. 10, Dec. 16 and Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
The brunch menu includes scrambled eggs, Belgian waffles, oven-roasted salmon with hollandaise, fruit salad, assorted juices, and more.
Prices are 24.99 for adults, 15.99 for children 10 and under and children under two years old are free.

38th Annual Holiday on Main Street
There are several chances to take pictures with Santa Claus during the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce's 38th annual Holiday on Main Street.
On Saturday, Dec. 3, during the Annual Reindeer Games, and on Saturday, Dec. 9, during the Magical Sounds of the Season Festival, Santa will be pulling his sleigh with the help of his favorite reindeer.
Santa will be available for pictures on his sleigh during both events.
During the Magical Sounds of the Season Festival, pet owners can bring their four-legged friends to take a picture with Santa.
Both events run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Santa will also make an appearance during the Dashing through Downtown Decorated Vehicle Parade on Friday, Dec. 15. The parade starts at 7 p.m.
Holiday Market
On Saturday, Dec. 2, The Connecticut Deaf Theater and HH Stonewall Community Farm present a Holiday Market from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 174 Wilcox Road.
At the market, there will be Holiday vendors, a coffee trailer, a make-your-own ornament station, meet rescued horses, and visitors will meet deaf Santa Claus.
Admission is free.
